"Cats are a great love of the islanders [from Monhegan], and Maine Coon cats are a breed indigenous to Maine. They look like a bobcat, with their funny tufted ears. I've always done drawings of the rock sticking up in the middle of this field. It's like Stonehenge. I treated the whole thing as if they were here in homage to this rock.
